Johnston & Murphy
Founded in 1850 by an immigrant English shoemaker, Johnston & Murphy couples old world shoemaking techniques with new world style and comfort. At Sebago, shoes are crafted from a rich tradition - part New England no-nonsense style, part timeless romance of the sea. All stitched perfectly in the hard working Maine heritage of forestry and farming, shoemaking and seafaring.

Sebago was founded in Maine over fifty years ago by three veteran shoemakers. Today, President Dan Wellehan and Jane Wellehan, Vice President of Operations, represent the second and third generations in this family tradition. Under their leadership, Sebago continues to set the highest standards for classic footwear styling. Their footwear is unique by virtue of it's hands-on manufacturing techniques, proprietary processes, quality materials, and timeless styling.
